Today, Tuesday, field teams from the Projects Department of the Sulaymaniyah Municipality Presidency commenced operations in the Ashti neighborhood to improve public services and provide a permanent solution to local infrastructure issues.
The project entails excavation, rehabilitation, and full reconstruction of a primary sewer line in the area. The deterioration of this line had caused severe disruption for local residents, resulting in sewage backing up into homes.
At the onset of operations, specialized crews immediately excavated the blocked sections and cleared the drainage corridor. Concurrently, surveying work and urgent engineering assessments were carried out to install a durable, properly engineered pipeline that resolves the issue permanently.
